Support North Carolina’s
Soil & Water Future
North Carolina’s fields, forests, farms, and waterways sustain every community in our state. For more than 25 years, the NC Foundation for Soil & Water Conservation has strengthened this legacy by supporting the mission of the state’s 96 Soil & Water Conservation Districts and their statewide Association—independent partners within North Carolina’s conservation partnership who help landowners protect natural resources and improve working lands.
Your generosity ensures that North Carolina’s soil and water remain healthy, productive, and resilient for generations to come.

Our Story
The NC Foundation for Soil & Water Conservation was established in 1999 through the leadership of farmers, conservationists, and local Soil & Water Conservation Districts who recognized the need for a dedicated nonprofit partner to strengthen conservation across the state. Since then, the Foundation has served as a statewide catalyst – supporting the work of North Carolina’s 96 Soil & Water Conservation Districts and their statewide Association as part of the broader conservation partnership.
Today, we strengthen statewide conservation by providing education, advocacy, and innovative programs that support every corner of North Carolina. For more than 25 years, we have collaborated with landowners, students, conservation professionals, and state and federal agencies to champion programs that improve soil health, reduce erosion, protect water quality, and preserve the landscapes that define our state.
From youth education initiatives and watershed restoration to farmland protection and innovative conservation pilots, the Foundation helps North Carolina communities thrive—now and for the future.
Your support powers this mission.
